August 26, 2020: “Boo? F**k you!”

Today marks the birth of Philadelphia’s newest sports show, The Boo Birds Podcast!

Hosts Joe Greenwich and John Saeger will dive head first into the latest Philadelphia sports news each week, mixing insight with a dash of irrationality – as is the Philadelphia way – and a strong sense of humor, because in this sports town, it’s the only way to survive.

The pair will also share their thoughts on the general sports news of the week, in addition to sharing their experiences as life-long Philadelphia sports fans with their listeners.

Is Aaron Nola an Ace? The Boo Birds Podcast

This week, the guys do their first combined "What Are You Drinking?" taste test, where Joe surprises John with a can of PBR Hard Coffee (5:27). After getting through that, John kicks off a discussion about the Sixers (13:01) before Joe explains the European Super League proposal (that fell apart before the episode even dropped) and why it was so widely loathed (23:52).  Then, John airs a grievance after three decades (39:57) before the guys talk about the Aaron Nola conversation (46:25) and the black hole that is center field at Citizens Bank Park (58:08).
